Motorcyclist killed in North Austin crash

The collision happened Sunday night near Burnet and Richcreek roads, according to the Austin Police Department.

AUSTIN, Texas — One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash Sunday night in North Austin. 

According to the Austin Police Department (APD), a motorcycle and a truck collided around 9 p.m. near Burnet and Richcreek roads. Officers said the motorcycle driver was transported to a hospital, where he later died. 

APD said the truck driver remained on scene and does not face any charges. 

The road was temporarily closed late Sunday night into early Monday morning but has since reopened. 

No additional information is available at this time.
