Officials get approval to fix new opening found at Williamson County Cambria cave

A new opening found at Williamson County's Cambria Cavern will soon be fixed.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — Williamson County officials have been given approval to start fixing a new opening found at the Cambria Cavern in a neighborhood there.

On Sept. 14, as crews were re-installing a gas line that was compromised during the collapse of the cave's roof in February, they discovered the opening. The opening is about 23 feet long with an average width of 6 inches.
