ROUND ROCK, Texas — A 23-year-old man was killed after he attempted to cross all three lanes of Interstate 35 in Round Rock on Sept. 4.
An 18-wheeler, which was towing a car, was traveling southbound on I-35 near Grand Avenue Parkway at around 8 p.m. when the pedestrian -- identified as Jackson James Borg -- crossed in front of the freight liner, Texas Department of Public Safety said. The driver was unable to avoid hitting the 23-year-old.
All southbound lanes of I-35 were closed in the area after the crash.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital, where officials said he died about 40 minutes after the crash.
