PFLUGERVILLE, Texas -- An attempted abduction of a child Monday in Pflugerville was a false report, according to police Wednesday.
The initial report said that at 3:05 p.m. Monday, a Hispanic man between 30 and 40 years old attempted to abduct a 10-year-old girl walking home from school. The alleged attempted abduction happened on Broken Feather Trail east of Olympic Drive.
According to the report, the man tried to call a young girl over. When she wouldn't come, he got up and grabbed her by the collar. The girl fought him, and she ran home to tell her mother. The police also provided a description of the man.
The Pflugerville Police Department said they will have more information on the false report Thursday morning.
