PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — The Pflugerville Police Department is accepting applications for victim services volunteers.

The volunteers work to assist victims of family violence, sexual assault, child victims, elderly victims, survivors of suicide and homicide and victims of other violent crimes.

If you would like to volunteer with victim services, the department says you will need to attend a mandatory orientation session on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m. at the Pflugerville Justice Center, which is located at 1611 E. Pfennig Lane. Those who attend the session will get an in-depth look at what is involved with being a victim services volunteer.

The training classes will be held at the Justice Center from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays for eight weeks beginning Monday, Feb. 11.
