AUSTIN — The Austin Police Department is investigating reports of a bank robbery in Downtown Austin early Tuesday evening.
Police said the call came in at 4:11 p.m. at the Compass Bank on 321 W. Sixth Street.
The suspect was described as a white male estimated to be in his 20s. He was wearing a light-colored hoodie and dark pants.
Officials said the suspect passed a note to the teller demanding money and left the scene with an undisclosed amount. He did not display a weapon.
Police are currently reviewing surveillance footage and said interviews are underway. Anyone with more information is asked to call 512-974-5092.
