Police release photo of Tuesday's Austin bank robber

Police have released a crystal-clear photo of a person believed to be behind a Central Austin bank robbery on Tuesday along with a photo of the getaway car.

<p>After entering the bank, demanding money and leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber left in a silver 2003 to 2009 Kia Spectra.</p>

Police have released a crystal-clear photo of a person believed to be behind a Central Austin bank robbery on Tuesday along with a photo of the getaway car.

The incident was the second of three Central Austin-area bank robberies within the span of three days.

Police said the person pictured in the released photo robbed the Benchmark Bank in the 1900 block of North Lamar Boulevard at around 11:09 a.m. Tuesday. Police said in a press conference later in the day that the robber is a white man who was wearing a shoulder-length wig and skinny blue jeans. The man stands between 6-feet and 6-feet 2-inches.

After entering the bank, demanding money and leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber left in a silver 2003 to 2009 Kia Spectra. No weapons were displayed and no one was injured.
