AUSTIN, Texas — Crews with the Austin Fire Department (AFD) battled a blaze at a popular Downtown Austin restaurant Monday night.

According to AFD, crews were on the scene of a fire at 303 Colorado St., which is the location of the Red Ash Italia restaurant in the Colorado Tower. The restaurant was evacuated as crews worked to put out the fire.

The extent of the damage to the restaurant is currently unclear. AFD is still investigating the cause of the blaze.
