It's not every day you get to meet your inspiration.
But that's exactly what happened to Reddit user PandaPixie when they dressed up as Austin lawyer -- and familiar billboard star -- David Komie this Halloween.

PandaPixie told KVUE that Komie was playing down at the Dirty Dog for a CD release party for his band Dharma Kings. They said they had gotten the costume idea from a girl who dressed as the Komie billboard in 2016. When PandaPixie's team at work said they wanted to dress as famous marketing campaigns, PandaPixie knew they wanted to go with an Austin icon. They contacted the 2016 Komie costume girl to get some pointers, had American Color Labs recreate and print the billboard and ordered the wig off of Amazon.
PandaPixie told us they got second place in Dirty Dog's costume contest -- but took first in Elysium's men's costume contest later Halloween night.
Second place or not, we think it's safe to say this encounter "rocks"!
