AUSTIN — Threadgill’s World Headquarters, a landmark Austin restaurant, will close its location on Riverside Drive in November, owner Eddie Wilson told KVUE.
"There's not enough margin in meatloaf and chicken fried steak for me to pay the property taxes on this location," Wilson said. "Since I had Armadillo World Headquarters right next door and its demise is very similar to this, someone suggested the other day that I just got a real expensive taste in locations."
