A South Austin high school band is getting some major attention from a celebrity who recently starred in the film Dead Pool. That's right. We're talking about Ryan Reynolds.
In a Facebook video shared Friday, Reynolds referred to the James Bowie High School band as his "favorite OPE band in the entire world." OPE stands for the Outdoor Performing Ensemble.
The video had already reached more than 74,000 views as of Saturday afternoon.
In the video, Reynolds also mentioned he was in the "heart of southern Italy." Which leads us to suggest he may be on set of his latest film. Dead Pool 3, maybe?
The Bowie Band was set to perform Saturday at the Band of Americas Houston Regional Championship.
