AT&T says that service has been restored after reports of outages in the Austin area Friday evening.

"Due to a fiber cut caused by a third party doing road construction, some customers in parts of South Austin may experience issues with their wireless, landline, TV or internet services. Our technicians are on-site working to repair the damage as quickly as possible and hope to have service restored soon. We apologize for any inconvenience," the company said in a statement.

On June 17, an outage knocked out the provider’s cable, cell phone, landline and Internet service to parts of the Austin area. That outage was caused by a cut line.

The website downdetector.com showed complaints filed in the Austin area as of Friday evening.
