AUSTIN — Staff with the SAFE Alliance reported a spike in forensic nursing exams during 2018's South by Southwest festival.

The SAFE Alliance reported they conducted "an unprecedented number of exams" -- 48 in three weeks -- including 13 individuals in one weekend over the course of the festival.
Staff told KVUE they just started recording numbers specifically for SXSW in 2018. However, they have seen a spike in exams during the month of March over the last few years.
