ROUND ROCK, Texas — Williamson County's sheriff said one adult and four juveniles have been arrested in connection to a rash of car burglaries that happened overnight on Dec. 5 in the Paloma Lake neighborhood.
Sheriff Robert Chody said Dec. 14 that they were arrested earlier this week. The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said the adult has been identified as Jonathan Rodela, who was arrested in Frio County.
Chody said this is an ongoing investigation. KVUE has reached out to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office to determine if the Paloma Lake burglaries were related to a series of car burglaries that happened in Round Rock that same night.
Round Rock police stated burglaries reported to their precinct occurred in the 1500 block of Lawnmont Drive that night. Round Rock Police said later that day they had received more than 30 reports, all from the apartment complexes in that area.
Sheriff Chody stated on Twitter Dec. 5 the break-ins reported to his precinct occurred not far away from the Round Rock burglaries, with multiple car burglaries in the Paloma Lake neighborhood.
Sheriff Chody stated it appeared the break-ins occurred in the early morning hours.
Chody tweeted a video of the suspected burglars.
