A man was arrested in connection with the murder of his father in northeast Travis County Sunday, the Sheriff's Office confirms.

Travis County Sheriff's Office deputies said they responded to the 11000 block of Gregg Lane, in between Manor and Pflugerville, at 3:29 a.m. after receiving multiple calls to dispatch.

Initially, officials said they thought they were responding to a collision because multiple people reported that there was a car off the road.

However, when deputies arrived on the scene, they found a man in his 40s, lying dead next to the vehicle with a gunshot wound.

Deputies said the man's two adult sons were identified as suspects in the homicide investigation.

After interviewing both brothers, officials arrested Tabyes Sauls, 23, of Round Rock. He is charged with murder.

"Under these terrible circumstances, I feel better knowing we've arrested the person that's responsible for this murder," an official said at an afternoon press conference.

Because the investigation is ongoing, deputies said they could not comment on the details that lead up to the shooting.

An autopsy report is expected to be completed Monday morning. Subsequently, officials will release the victim's identity.
