Spectrum outage in Buda under investigation

Spectrum did not share how many people were affected by the outage.

BUDA, Texas — Some Buda residents were left without internet as law enforcement investigates a Spectrum outage.

City leaders said the outage led them to open the Buda City Hall Multi-Purpose Room for anyone who needed internet to get things done.

Meanwhile, Spectrum's parent company, Charter Communications, said the issue is not widespread but blamed "vandalism" to its network as the cause of the outage.

Spectrum said their team worked quickly on restoring service but did not say how many people it impacted.

Buda City Hall has vending machines with snacks and drinks available and stayed open Monday night for those who needed a place with internet.
