Several communities in Hays and Travis counties are under emergency Stage 4 water restrictions after a pipe that delivers water to the West Travis County Public Utility Agency failed Tuesday.
According to the agency, Bee Cave and Dripping Springs are included in the emergency restriction. Approximately 25,000 people live in the affected area.
Under Stage 4 restrictions, landscape irrigation is prohibited. Watering of golf course greens, tees and fairways is also prohibited unless an alternative water supply source – such as reclaimed water, rainwater or gray water – is used.
