AUSTIN, Texas — A fire at an apartment complex in South Austin on Sunday morning is now under control, the Austin Fire Department said.
The fire was reported at the Sterling Springs apartment complex on West William Cannon Drive, near West Gate Boulevard, around 4 a.m.
Officials said the fire started on the third floor of the complex. It turned into a second alarm fire, meaning more crews and trucks were needed to fight it.
As of 4:45 a.m., the fire was under control. There are no reported injuries.
West William Cannon Drive was closed between West Gate Boulevard and Brodie Lane but has since reopened.
