AUSTIN, Texas — Jared Padalecki is sharing his love for the capital of Texas.
After "recent events," the Supernatural star took to social media to reflect on life's blessings and to express his love for the city of Austin.
"Recent events have made me reflect on life, love, loss and all of the blessings I’ve experienced in my days on this earth," Padalecki wrote on Instagram Tuesday night.
Padalecki may be referring to the tragic death of Kobe Bryant, who was among nine killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday, including Bryant's 13-year-old daughter Gianna.
Bryant's death has sent shock waves across the world and impacted many who knew him personally, including Shaq who said in tears Tuesday night that his death has changed him.
In an Instagram photo taken on 24th Street, Padalecki called on his followers to live life to the fullest while they still have time on this earth.
"I would love for you to make every effort to do something that brings you joy," Padalecki wrote. "Call a loved one. Go for a walk. Sneak in some precious alone time. Watch your favorite TV show. Do something with your precious time that lets the world know you are grateful. After all, none of us know how much time we have left."
Padalecki, who has lived in Austin for years, said he always dreamt about living in this city as a child.
"Austin brings me a warmth and a happiness and a peace that I have been unable to find anywhere else in my travels," Padalecki expressed. "I love being here."
Well, the love is mutual, Padalecki.
Mayor Steve Adler even declared June 23 "Supernatural Day" in Austin in honor of Padalecki's and Jensen Ackles's hit show.
Supernatural's final season started back in October and is expected to wrap up in May.
