SWAT callout at South Austin homeless camp

Police said there was reportedly a man brandishing a shotgun.

AUSTIN, Texas — The SWAT team was called to the scene of an incident on Friday night near South Lamar Boulevard and West Gate Boulevard in South Austin.

Police said there was reportedly a man in a homeless camp brandishing a shotgun.

Authorities were able to get the person in custody without incident, police said.

No injuries have been reported.
