AUSTIN, Texas — The City of Taylor says water pressure in the city is stabilized Thursday morning following issues on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, residents in Taylor were dealing with water pressure issues after the City said a "construction incident" occurred on Highway 95 Wednesday morning.

The City originally said in a post on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, that residents and businesses in the area of Taylor South of Carlos Parker Boulevard would possibly experience low-to-no water pressure Wednesday afternoon and evening. As of 1 p.m. Wednesday, the City had expanded that zone to include the entire city.

The City said crews were working to fix the issue Wednesday afternoon, but homes and businesses were encouraged to limit water usage and conserve if possible.

At 8:21 a.m. Thursday, the City said water pressure had been stabilized and repairs are ongoing. The City will continue to monitor and will post updates when they become available.
