Texas Panhandle gets October snow

TEXAS — In Texas this mid-October, winter is not coming. It's here!

A drastic temperature change across Texas brought snow to the Texas Panhandle Oct. 15.

By 5:16 a.m., 1 to 2 inches of snow was expected around northern Texas Panhandle Monday morning, KVUE's Erika Lopez reported.

In the Austin area, the coldest temperatures since February are expected to hit Monday and Tuesday.
