Texas State students protest controversial student body president

Texas State students are protesting the fact that the student body president was not impeached after controversy with alleged racist social media posts.

SAN MARCOS -- Texas State students participated in a sit-in to protest the decision not to impeach their student body president after controversial social media posts.

Texas State student body president Connor Clegg has been under fire for social media posts from 2014 and 2017 that allegedly made fun of Asians and nuns. He has since apologized for the posts.

Students continued a sit-in Thursday, on the fourth floor of the LBJ center on campus. Students want Clogg impeached, even though his term is scheduled to end in 10 days. Students told KVUE it is about doing what's right, regardless of the amount of time left in Clegg's term.
