AUSTIN — Officials arrested three men on Thursday and Friday for allegedly trying to pay underaged girls for sex in Austin.
Police said 36-year-old Michael Gene Garza, 24-year-old Xinzhou Zhao and 34-year-old Agustin Jose Garza were all charged with prostitution of a person under the age of 18.
According to an arrest affidavit, special agents posed as underaged girls on the websites CityXGuide, MeetMe and Plenty Of Fish. All three men reportedly agreed to meet and have sex with who they thought were underaged girls.
Michael Garza and Zhou agreed to meet with posed underaged girls at Orangewood Inn and Suites on I-35, police said. Michael Garza was allegedly going to pay $100 for sex, while Zhou was going to pay $60.
Agustin Jose Garza agreed to meet with a posed underaged girl at the Super 8 Motel on I-35 and agreed to pay $40 for the sex, according to police.
Once the men arrived to meet up with who they thought were underaged girls, officials arrested them.
