Austin-based Tito's Handmade Vodka has joined relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
Tito's volunteered two of their 18-wheeler trucks to transport relief supplies donated to the Austin Disaster Relief Network on Saturday.
"ADRN has been our partner through the Wimberley Floods, to the Bastrop Fires to the Denham Springs floods in Louisiana,” said Amy Lukken, Director of Philanthropy of Tito’s Handmade Vodka. "Daniel Geraci’s team is one of the most well-organized disaster relief outfits we have worked with and we are proud to support his team’s efforts in caring for our communities."
Volunteers packed, prepped and shipped around 300 pallets of cleaning supplies, pillows, air mattresses and a list of other much-needed items for flood victims.
"It really screams to me that Austin cares, we care about our neighbors in Houston. And we wanna roll up our sleeves, whether it be volunteering here today or just dropping off goods and we care about our neighbors. And we live in a great city, this is a great picture of the true heart of Austin," said Daniel Jeraci, Executive Director of ADRN.
Outside of donations, ADRN said the most requested items include chainsaws, industrial box fans and squeegees. The group expects more waves of supplies coming in over the next few days and even months.
