AUSTIN — The trial for the people accused of killing an Austin man in Greece continues Sept. 27.
On Sept. 21, a Greek judge postponed the trial surrounding Bakari Henderson's death. The judge put things on hold until Thursday so lawyers could handle procedural issues.
Henderson, 22, was beaten to death while on vacation in July 2017. A security camera captured part of the attack. Six men are charged with murder in connection to his death while three others face lesser charges in the case.
His mother told KVUE last week she's ready for the case to move forward.
"We have been in a holding pattern, so to have the trial be here -- it is a great thing," she said. "But we want to make sure they are actually convicted and sentenced to prison."
