SAN ANTONIO — University Hospital still needs the public's assistance to help identify an unknown patient.
Many San Antonians contacted the hospital stating they recognized the patient as a homeless man named Phil, but hospital officials need a family member or close friend to confirm his legal identity.
"We are still looking for a family member, former employer or close friend who can help us with legal identification, so we’re expanding the inquiry list to include Austin and Kerrville news outlets," a spokesperson with University Hospital said.
They believe he may have a brother in the Austin area. He has also worked in Kerrville in the past.
Phil suffers from dementia. They describe the patient as a white male, 5'8", 230 lbs. The patient has no visible scars or tattoos.
University Hospital asks anyone who thinks they know the man's identity to call 210-743-3111.
