Nearly 11 months after the Memorial Day floods that killed 12 people in the Wimberley area, people paused during the annual butterfly festival to remember those lost.

The bodies of two of the victims, 4-year-old Leighton McComb and 6-year-old Will Charba, still have not been recovered. There was a moment of reflection during the Emily Ann Theatre & Gardens 18th Annual Butterfly Festival for everyone who died in the flood.

Around 3,500 butterflies were released during the Saturday event.
