Elgin ISD results
Elgin ISD voters decided on two propositions, which were first introduced in February by the district's Board of Trustees.
Prop A was supported by 68% of voters (1064 total), which includes the construction of two new buildings: a new elementary school and a new middle school. The $366M proposition also highlights an expansion to Elgin High School, as well as new land, buses and a series of additional upgrades.
Additionally, 61% (951) of the Elgin ISD voter turnout supported the passage of Prop B, which allocates $9M total for the creation of a Career, Technology, and Educational Arts and Audio/Video (CTE A/V) center. It also allows for upgrades to the Wildcat Stadium press box, including better audio features, safety additions, a new scoreboard and more.
Despite these new projects, the district has stated tax rates will remain the same.
Georgetown ISD results
Georgetown ISD voters decided on four propositions, all of which have been accepted.
Thanks to a 70% approval, Prop A will allow for more than $597M for school facilities, including new high school, middle school and elementary school buildings, as well as renovations, new school buses and more.
Prop B, which was passed by 67%, focuses on updating technology to offer more modern resources.
63% of voters chose "yes" for Prop C, which will add a new performing arts center at East View High School and upgrades to the Georgetown High School Klett Performing Arts facility and Black Box Theater, among other changes.
Prop D, which has the lowest amount of funding at more than $3M, was confirmed with 61% voter support. This proposition will create more space at the East View High School field house and locker room while also fixing the Georgetown High School track.
Going forward, these new advancements will be implemented in both districts. For the full list of election results, visit here.
