Water line break at The Independent causes water to pour down side of building, flood several floors

Video from a witness shows water flowing down the side of the building. AFD said the water was flowing out from the 23rd floor.

AUSTIN, Texas — A water supply line break at The Independent building caused water to pour down the side of the building, according to the Austin Fire Department

Firefighters responded to the building for reports of a fire, but when they arrived there was not any visible smoke or flames. AFD tweeted Sunday that the supply line break led to flooding on several floors. 

Video from a witness shows water flowing down the side of the building. AFD said the water was flowing out from the 23rd floor.

AFD said it would be assisting with water removal. 

No other information was available.
