WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — A county road is getting ready for an expansion in Jarrell.

The City of Jarrell and Williamson County broke ground on the County Road 332 expansion project on Monday morning.

The project will transform CR 332 from 1,600 feet south of FM 487 to 2,000 feet north of CR 313. The road will be reconstructed as two lanes with shoulders to improve safety and mobility. Curves will also be smoothed as part of the project to improve safety for drivers.

“This is a great road safety project for the people of Jarrell,” Pct. 4 Commissioner Russ Boles said in a release on Monday. “I believe parents should have dinner with their families, not stuck in traffic.”

Chasco Constructors was awarded the $2.5 million project in December 2023. Construction is expected to be completed by fall of this year. Seiler Lankes Group is in charge of the engineering.
