Kite flyers will have to wait until 2018 to participate in the annual ABC Kite Festival at Zilker Park.
Organizers announced on Facebook Saturday that the city of Austin decided to cancel the event due to "inclement weather and park conditions" beyond their control.
Last weekend the event was rescheduled for March 12 after rains created muddy conditions at the park.
Organizers have not said if they will change the month for the event next year.
