AUSTIN-- The person killed in a North Austin home explosion earlier this week has been identified.
OnFriday, the Travis County Medical Examiner named the victim to be 43-year-old Renald Ferrovecchio.He was killed in Monday's blast that authorities believe was caused by a gas leak.
Officials say Ferrovecchio owned the home at 1712 Payne Avenue and worked at the NationalCredit Union Administration. Neighbors believed the victim to be him, but his identity could not be confirmed without an autopsy.
He died of injuries sustained in the explosion.
