WASHINGTON — While you won't find "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" on TV this year, everyone can still watch the classic Peanuts holiday special for free this weekend.
The animated specials used to air on network TV around the holidays but this will be the third year in a row where you can only watch the Peanuts Thanksgiving special on Apple TV+. The streaming service became the home to all things Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang, including the beloved holiday specials, back in 2020.
If you're already a subscriber of Apple TV+, you can watch the Peanuts specials any time you want, all season long.
Before you say "good grief," Apple has announced it'll once again make all of the Charlie Brown holiday specials available for nonsubscribers to watch for free for a couple days each.
“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” will be available Nov. 23 and Nov. 24; and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will be available Dec. 14 and Dec. 15. “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” was available to watch for free on Apple TV+ on Saturday, Oct. 19 and Sunday, Oct. 20.
Last year was also a special anniversary for the Peanuts gang as it marked 50 years since "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" first debuted on CBS in November 1973.
