HOUSTON - One person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting in northeast Houston Sunday evening.
Officers said the shooting happened at a 4-year-old's birthday party around 6:30 p.m. at a home on Majestic Street.
We're told the suspect grabbed a high-powered rifle after an argument broke out and opened fire, shooting three people.
One of the victims, a 60-year-old man died at the scene. His 20-year-old son, who was also shot, was taken to Ben Taub Hospital. Officers have not released details on the third victim.
Detectives told us there is a possibility a fourth person was shot, but may have fled the scene despite being hit in the face. They believe that person may know the suspect.
The conditions of the two surviving victims are unknown at this time.
We're told police do have leads on the suspect who was a friend attending the party. Officers are actively searching for him at this time.
