The pilot of a single-engine plane died after crashing Thursday afternoon in an area just outside Fredericksburg, Department of Public Safety officials said.
The pilot was the only person on board, and no one else was injured when the plane crashed near Kerr Road, DPS officials said. The crash happened around 5 p.m.
