Pflugerville City Council passes measure opposing SB-2

Pflugerville City Council is just the latest group pushing against the bill that would keep property taxes from going up more than two and a half percent without a vote.

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — The Pflugerville City Council members passed a measure Tuesday night opposing Senate Bill Two.

Senate Bill Two is a bill that would keep property taxes from going up more than two and a half percent without a vote.

The current cap is at eight percent.

The bill has major backing from Governor Greg Abbott, being one of his main priorities this year.

Last week, Travis County Commissioners also voted on a measure opposing the legislation.
