Austin — The City of Austin has been without a city manager for 14 months now. This past Monday, Mayor Steve Adler released the names of six candidates the council has interviewed and is considering for the position.
But getting to this point hasn't been without controversy: from holding off on hiring a search firm to extreme measures to keep the candidate identities secret and even a lawsuit about the process.
