AUSTIN -- A tweet from the Travis County GOP used capital letters to declare that Islam "is a Satanic cult of murder, not a religion," according to a screenshot of the tweet taken by the Texas Freedom Network.
The tweet, which was later removed by the Travis County GOP, linked to a blog post on the website "Conservative Daily News."
The blog post espoused hate towards the Islamic faith and attacked the Roman Catholic Church saying it was importing of "members of the satanic cult of islam while ignoring middle east Christians who are being slaughtered by islamic satanists (sic)."
The Travis County GOP hasn't commented on Twitter about the original post.
