Here’s how Central Texas counties voted in the presidential elections in 2012 and 2016.

AUSTIN, Texas — The 2020 presidential campaigns are in full swing, and many are wondering if President Donald Trump will be elected as president again.

The last time Texas voted for a Democratic presidential candidate was more than 40 years ago in 1976 when Jimmy Carter defeated Gerald Ford.

While most counties in KVUE’s viewing area voted for a Republican presidential candidate in 2012 and 2016, Travis County residents voted for a Democratic candidate in both elections.
