Ann Kitchen to serve second term as District 5 Austin City Council member

Facing zero opponents, Ann Kitchen will serve a second term as Austin City Council member representing southwest Austin's District 5.

AUSTIN — Ann Kitchen ran unopposed as District 5’s Austin City Council member, so she will serve a second term as the representative of the southwest Austin district.

At the beginning of the race, Kitchen had a challenger -- Nathan White -- an administrative assistant. Later, though, he said that not enough of his petition signatures appeared to be valid, according to KVUE’s media partners at the Austin American-Statesman.
