'Rally Day' held at Texas State Capitol for public school reform

More than 2,000 parents, educators, students and advocates turned out at the Texas State Capitol Monday to rally for public school reform.

AUSTIN, Texas — More than 2,000 parents, educators, students and advocates from across the state of Texas gathered at the Capitol on Monday for 'Rally Day.'

The group spent the day advocating for more funding and resources for public schools.

Prior to arriving at the Capitol, the group was split into two groups: a student caucus and a priorities caucus. Each met with lawmakers and policy makers to prepare for Rally Day.
