AUSTIN — Late at night when all the world is sleeping, Selena Quintanilla fans stay up and think of her.
It's no surprise that we know almost everything there is to know about the star as her music is still trending 23 years after her death. The "Queen of Tejano," who won a Grammy award in 1994, would have turned 47 this Monday.

1. Selena has a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hollywood
In August of 2016, the Selena Quintanilla wax figure was unveiled at The Madame Tussauds Hollywood in Hollywood, California. Her wax figure is dressed in her famous jeweled bustier.
2. Selena has a star on the Walk of Fame
Selena recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame back in Nov. 2017.
Her sister, Suzette, helped lay Selena's name into the cement. "It meant the world to me," she said.
3. Selena is nicknamed the "Mexican Madonna"
Over the years Selena has been nicknamed the Mexican American version of Madonna due to her fashion sense and stage presence.
4. Selena had a vast collection of Faberge eggs
Selena had a huge collection of more than 500 designer Faberge eggs and would keep them displayed in her living room. The eggs are now up for display at the Selena Museum.
5. Selena got her big break with a Coca-Cola contract
Selena got her big break when she signed a contract with Coca-Cola when she was just 17-years-old. She was in several advertisements for the brand throughout the country.
