DOJ to release critical incident report on Uvalde school shooting Thursday

Uvalde CISD's principal said counselors will be made available to students and staff on Thursday.

AUSTIN, Texas — On Thursday, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) will release its critical incident report on the May 24, 2022, mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.

Nineteen children and two teachers were killed in the shooting, making it the deadliest in the state's history.

Ashley Chohlis, superintendent of Uvalde CISD, said at a board meeting Monday that the DOJ had informed her earlier in the day that it would be releasing its findings into the shooting Thursday afternoon.

No additional information about the DOJ's findings is available at this time.
