WACO, Texas -- Many of the bikers charged in last week's deadly shooting at Twin Peaks restaurant are still behind bars. Adam Reposa, an Austin attorney for some of them, says he wants the judges in the case removed.

He said refusing to reduce the $1 million bonds the bikers are being held under shows the judges' bias.

"This isn't just unconstitutional, these are civil rights violations," says Reposa. "Who is our government? Why would they let this happen?" he asks.

170 bikers were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity after the shootout that left nine dead and 18 injured at the Waco restaurant.

Reposa says many were arrested simply because of who they were associated with.

"Who have we become that our government would want something like this to happen? To send the message 'You no longer have the right to associate as motorcycle clubs?' " asks Reposa. "And that is the question of this lawsuit," he says.
