Congressman: FBI will investigate Temple VA hospital

TEMPLE, Texas -- U.S. Rep. John Carter (R-Round Rock) has confirmed that the FBI will investigate criminal allegations at the Veterans Affairs facility in Temple, Texas.

Carter said the investigation was secured after he spoke with FBI director James Comey.

"I believe that the FBI needs to be investigating the Temple VA facility for criminal activities, and the Veterans Affairs Administration needs to be investigating the facility as well to administer cultural and bureaucratic reforms," Carter said in a statement.
