'We're not a big business, so it hurts' | Reward offered for dinosaurs stolen in Spring Branch area, along with trailer they were in

Owner Oscar Bravo said the alleged thieves took off with $15,000 worth of goods. The business is now offering a $1,500 reward for the return of their dinos.

HOUSTON — Who stole a bunch of dinosaurs and the trailer they were in? If you can help find the answer, there could be some reward money in it for you.

Jurassic Extreme Houston, which is a party entertainment service, is asking for help after they said their trailer filled with new walking dinosaurs was stolen from the Spring Branch area.

The company posted to Facebook Sunday, calling this a "significant setback" as they were preparing to bring Houstonians an "even more thrilling and exciting entertainment experience."

"It was a hit, it's still a hit,” said owner, Oscar Bravo. "We're a small business, we're not a big business, so it hurts.”

The alleged theft is a major setback for Bravo's party entertainment business, which Bravo started back in 2015.

"It's a unique business, they're walking dinosaurs, kids love dinosaurs, there's always new generation of kids into dinosaurs, and so we bring that entertainment to kids that love dinosaurs for birthday parties," he said.

Bravo is now down three of his newest dinosaurs and a customer favorite, a dino egg prop.

He said someone driving a black truck, caught on surveillance, took off with his trailer on Wednesday, Feb. 21 around 7 a.m.

The trailer was parked at Spring Branch Mini Storage off Emnora Lane when the facility was broken into.

"They took the trailer with the dinosaurs, that's a lot of money in there and just I guess my gut felt twisted you know, they took everything,” said Bravo.

In total, Bravo said the alleged thieves took off with $15,000 worth of goods. A report was filed with the Houston Police Department.

"Just bring them back, keep the trailer. The dinosaurs are the ones that keep the business going, and they're hard to import it takes time 3 to 4 months,” said Bravo.

Bravo believes the people who allegedly stole his trailer are also repeat offenders.

"The manager here told me that it was the same black truck, and it's the second time that I know of that they've been here and stolen items and a trailer before,” he said.

Bravo even took to social media to seek help from the community.

"Just want to say thank you, we didn't expect this kind of response we've gotten," he said.

He said they still haven’t gotten any solid leads or tips, but he’s hopeful someone will come forward and help them recover their stolen dinosaurs.

"We've worked hard to get where we're at, and it's a setback, but we're not going to stop, we're going to continue stomping around Houston with the dinosaurs,” said Bravo.

Bravo is offering a $1,500 reward for the return of their dinosaurs.
