LED video boards unveiled at Dell Diamond ahead of Round Rock Express season

Single-game tickets for the Express are now on sale ahead of their season opener on March 29.

AUSTIN, Texas — The 2024 baseball season is less than two months away, and Round Rock Express fans will be treated to a new attraction at Dell Diamond this season.

The stadium recently installed a set of new LED video boards that will be displayed around the park. The primary videoboard is located in left field, and the entirety of the outfield ribbon boards will be fitted with 43% more LEDs than before.

The team partnered with Formetco Sports, a Georgia-based company that specializes in electronic signage, to develop the new boards.

While the size of the board will remain the same, the number of pixels will drastically improve the look and feel of the boards. The previous board included 619.35 LEDs per square foot whereas the new board includes 1088.7 LEDs per square foot.

Along with the new main and outfield boards, the team said there will also be an entire redesign of the in-game layout, allowing fans to more easily follow key aspects of the game. Advertisements will also be more clearly displayed.

The boards will debut to the public on Feb. 23, when the Karbach Round Rock Classic begins play. Texas State, Kentucky, Washington State and Kansas will face off in this year's tournament.

Single-game tickets for the Express are now on sale to the public, with some ticket prices starting at $10. Single-game tickets can be purchased at the team's website.

The Express begin their season on March 29 against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys at Dell Diamond.
