SAN ANTONIO — On Friday, the Mason Punchers got revenge for last year's quarterfinal loss against Refugio.
Mason got the 28-14 win over Refugio at the Alamodome to advance to the state semifinals.
Klay Klaerner had a touchdown for Mason, as did receiver Jake Cockerham.

Mason's quarterback Otto Wofford had a TD run to start the scoring for the Punchers, but was ejected for targeting while playing defense in the first half.
Mason led at halftime and held on for the win.
Mason (14-0) will face San Augustine (12-2) in the state semifinals next week.
