HOUSTON — Former Houston Astros prospect Ronny Garcia has died at age 24, the team announced Saturday morning.
"Our condolences go out to his family and friends," the team posted on X
Details surrounding Garcia's death are limited at this time. According to his bio on the Minor League Baseball website, he died on Friday.
The right-handed pitcher entered the Minor Leagues in 2017. He most recently signed with the York Revolution on February 20, 2024, according to MiLB.com.
